20 Game Reviews w/ Response

All 50 Reviews

Cheesy, crazy & unforgiving, but well executed - that's how I like my Mausland entertainment.
Couldn't beat level 4 yet, but the urge is strong and frustration is a part of the game, so...

Wiesi responds:

Hey, thanks for playing and reviewing! :)

Although there is a freezing bug in the Mario level, which happens randomly;
such bug can be fixed and it's not really a tough game (well, in real life it is),
so it doesn't hurt to start from the beginning.

I guess the main goal is not to finish the game, but to make you laugh.

Personally, I couldn't stop laughing when I played the Mario level (again),
almost reached the pipe, but then shat turds in midair.
(Thinking about it makes me laugh again)

Thanks for the laughter, sir!
Cheers!

Blobzone responds:

Glad you liked it :)
Yeah, thats the kind of humor i am aiming for.

Reach the Toilet 2 is coming soon : ) (Still need to finish some other projects right now)
and will hopefully entertain even more people :D

Someone has watched The King of Kong...

Pretty nice work for a first game.
Add different death animations, find a good voice actor on NG, with decent recording equipment
and the game will be improved entertainment-wise.

BoobMarley responds:

Couldn't have given a more accurate critique myself, I appreciate it.
A good catch with the KoK reference, you smarty.

Another arcade-ish Wiesi game and I love it!♥

BUT it seems there is a bug [!]
I maxed out my "Resistance" level and then started to improve my "Luck" level.
When I reached around 800 points, my "On Fire" bar stopped at the 7th block,
ergo I wasn't able to fill the 8th block (with combos) to unleash the "on fire mode".

I kept playing and luckily I was able to finish the whole game without the "on fire mode",
but because of that I can't say if this bug was just an accident or might happen again.
...but it is definitely out there. *Twilight Zone theme*

Keep up the great work! Appreciate your contributions on NG!
Cheers!

Wiesi responds:

Hm, very weird bugs... Thanks for reporting and reviewing!

I really like this game!
Everything is simple and the game is easy to get into. But that doesn't mean it's an easy game!
It's challenging and demands fast reaction and tactical movements,
since there is a constant 10 seconds time limit.
You have to focus on the whole thing and decide which of the balls comes next.

I can't complain about the game - works like a charm!
The only thing that kinda annoys me, is the sound effect when you touch the balls.
I often listen to music when I play such games, therefore a volume control
or alternative less dominant sound would be nice.

Keep up the good work!
Cheers!

NndV responds:

I'm glad you like it. Sorry for the sound effect, now you can press M to mute.

Okay, I admit it.
I wasn't able to stop producing cupcakes and expanding my business,
because I simply wanted more of everything.
More bakeries, more factories, more workers and bakers who work for me,
more cupcakes made per second and most importantly MORE MONEY!!

I wanted to be No.1 !
I wanted to be the "King of Cupcakes".
But when I earned that title, I realize it's not the end, but just the beginning.
People suffered, people died - but I kept doing my thing.
In the end, everyone, but me died - and I still kept producing cupcakes.
Why? Because I loved it, I was good at it!
Finally I felt alive(!), while everyone around me died...

I'm now sitting here, on a mountain of cupcakes
and I realize that jejkobb's message came through;
Those who got enough money, want more.
Eventually almost all of us can't stop, once they are really successful.
The selfishness is showing, greed is stronger than common sense.
Pushing boundaries - ignoring the consequences.

Either the last medal tells you this about your mindset...or that you have no life. LOL
Nice work. Although simple as hell.

jejkobb responds:

Thank you soo much for the support! I really hoped someone would appreciate the ending :) I worked hard on this game, and still I'm only 15 :).
you made my week.
and I've started working on my next game!
BTW are you still playing?

That's a nice game based on a classic.
The only thing I don't like about this game, is how the red Tralfoids are spawned.
Sometimes it seems it's just a matter of luck, when they pop up.
Sometimes two of them show up. Sometimes another one, shortly after the last one showed up. And sometimes it takes so long, that you ran out of fuel in the meantime.

But beside that, I really like this game.
Good work!

FL0PIE responds:

Thanks for the feedback!

Nice game, but I think hitting space bar to pick up weapons isn't the best choice.
It is really uncomfy to play that way.
How about an "auto-pickup-item" option? Or instead of space, choose "E" (or create an adjust option, so the player can choose the key by himself). The Game starts lagging a bit when those tanks are entering the battle field.

Snakebee responds:

The design choice behind the item-pickup system is so that the player doesn't accidentally pick up a weapon he/she doesn't want. (I always hated that in games like Raiden) I'll definitely consider alternative control schemes or in-game key binding in the future.

At first, it was pretty uncomfortable to get used to the behaviour of the controls.
But if you give the game a chance and practise a bit, you'll get a feeling for the grapple, its speed
and get an eye for the distance and right timing.
Even if you now got comfy to the controls, reach higher scores easier;
the game itself stays entertaining, although there seems to be no change in the enemy spawn interval
or the level complexity (some are easier, some are more difficult - it's a random up and down).

Complaints:
The "rope" of the grapple is white. This is sometimes pretty confusing with white backgrounds.
Not sure if this is part of the game, but a yellow rope would be way better.
Bugs:
Sometimes there are no enemies in the level
(but you can hear the spawn sound). This happened rarely though.

Good work! Cheers!

devman115 responds:

Hey, glad to hear you like the game so much! We actually just uploaded a new version that addresses the issues with those light backgrounds, as well as making it more clear you can change directions mid-air. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice old school-ish game!
I like the simple one-hand-control (WASD or left, right, up, down) and the simple, but original idea of certain blocks that make you shrink, jump or can kill you instantly.

Btw, I think there is a bug in level 2-9. I died several times just by touching the dolphin
(the one that is made of jump blocks and which has the first acess token).

Good work! Cheers!

gametronstudios responds:

It's going to be fixed and included in the next release (Sector 4) Ty.
